Our history

Crossover Recovery was born from a powerful vision that David embraced wholeheartedly. He saw the need for a solution that would bring healing and restoration to those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.

Inspired by Psalm 34:17-20, which reminds us that "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles," he felt a deep responsibility to step in and make a difference.

Recognising that this vision required a team, David gathered a group of passionate individuals to help shape and build the mission. Guided by the principle of clarity and action—"Write the vision and make it plain so that others may run with it" (Habakkuk 2:2)—they developed a clear and structured plan.

The founding team included:

• Scott – A Wall Street professional with a background in business strategy.

• Pastor Leos – Providing spiritual guidance and leadership.

• Allison – A licensed clinical therapist with expertise in program management.

• Poppy – A policy administrator ensuring structural integrity.

• David – A specialist in addiction recovery and special needs, as well as the visionary behind the project.

Over three years, this team worked tirelessly to craft a master plan—one bold enough to make a real impact. They recognised that addressing the widespread need for addiction recovery and mental health support required innovation, boldness, and a completely new approach.

A Compassionate Model of Care

Many existing agencies treat individuals as mere numbers, struggling to offer personalised care due to overwhelming demand. The team was determined to break this cycle. Their goal was to develop policies and training programs that prioritise compassion, dedication, and personal commitment to every individual they serve. As Isaiah 41:17 reminds us, "Even those suffering in extreme circumstances are known and valued." Through our work, we ensure that no one feels forgotten.

Funding a Big Vision

To execute such a BIG plan for a BIG problem, the team knew they had to rethink traditional funding models. They believed in the power of community, generosity, and shared responsibility to make this vision a reality. With determination and a commitment to service, Crossover Recovery continues to grow, bringing hope and transformation to those in need.
